Priorities
As District 12 Alder, my commitment is to the people of Madison. I will focus on the following key priorities to ensure our city remains a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive:
Addressing Disparities
Madison should be a great place for all its residents. I am committed to addressing existing disparities, working to ensure that everyone—regardless of background—has the opportunity to succeed and thrive in our community.
Community Outreach & Reliable Communication
I will prioritize proactive, consistent outreach and transparent communication with members of the community. By ensuring that all voices are heard and providing regular updates on city projects, policies, and relevant news, I will keep residents informed and involved in decisions that affect their lives.
Increased Public Transportation Access
I will support the expansion of transportation options to make it easier for all residents to move around the city. A North-South Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line, increased paratransit services, and improvements to existing transit will be key components of my vision for a more connected Madison.
True Public Safety
By investing in prevention and early intervention, not just enforcement, I will work to address root causes of crime.
Housing Justice
I will fight for affordable and accessible housing, particularly for renters, while working to create more opportunities for homeownership. Ensuring that Madison’s growth doesn’t leave anyone behind is crucial to maintaining a strong, inclusive city.
CARES Program & Mental Health Resources
Madison's Community Alternative Response Emergency Services (CARES) program provides crucial mental health crisis response. I will support the CARES program and work to increase access to mental health resources for those who need them most.
Environmental Impact & PFAS Mitigation
I will work to address the environmental challenges posed by PFAS contamination, ensuring that our community is protected from harmful chemicals. This includes advocating for stronger regulation and cleanup efforts in all affected areas.
Noise Mitigation for F-35s
I will advocate for noise mitigation efforts for the F-35s, working to reduce the impact on our neighborhoods and quality of life.
